The Swedish Poodle Club was founded in 1942 and is sanctioned by The Swedish Kennel Club. The club is divided into four different regions; the Southern, Mid-Swedish, Western and Northern Poodle Club. The highest official body of the Poodle Club is the Poodle Council while the Central Board executes decisions made by the Poodle Council. Each region abides by the Central board. Each region does have an independant board of directors . As a member you will receive the magazine Pudel-Nytt (Poodle News). The Club in each region is organizing all sorts of poodle related activities such as conformation shows, obedience trials, agilty competions, puppy training classes, coat care classes, lectures of all kinds etc. As a member you have the priviledge to attend all of these activities. The Club also provides free breeding consultation, and also to people intending to purchase a poodle.
